Conan the Destroyer
This misbegotten Continued probably deserves F, but also because this is not quite nadir of swords and sorcery genre, I am prepared to give it the benefit of doubt. At least, Ah-nold Schwarzenegger is a natural Konan, and Wilt Chamberlain, while it would stretch to describe it as an entity that is the appropriate large and monosyllabic. Everything else about Conan destroyer is unrelentingly terrible.
Let’s start with the rest of the cast. Ugh. In inept Olivia D ‘Abo atonally clashes with the supposedly ancient surroundings, Tracy Walter, and Conan the Barbarian holdover Make painfully unfunny funny sidekicks, and the very idea of Grace Jones pitiful. In clumsy performances, but Oscar-worthy compared with comically cheesy special effects. One Conan in demonic opponents is the guy in a monkey suit-in fact, not even the entire costume, but only a rubber Halloween mask. Oooh, scary! And the place where it Jehnna moved in a very big bird from the fog? I have seen better in animation Sinbad the Sailor or Earth friendly. With Richard Fleisher in the direction, but it may be described as disinterested-complete contrast Milius “vigorously engaged in style.
Plot run-o-o-mill swords and sorcery stuff, not epic Conan the Barbarian coverage. Conan is a hired Taramis Queen (Sarah Douglas) to escort her young charge, Princess Jehnna (D ‘Abo) on the treasure-hunting expedition. Only the Princess can touch the treasure Taramis wanted, but because it does not trust Konan Taramis a treasure or Jehnna of virginity, she sends along its captain guards (Chamberlain) with instructions to kill Konan as soon as the mission is done. Then plans Taramis sacrificed so virginal Jehnna and treasure to revive the ancient demon. You can guess the rest.
