Cold Creek Manor
After wallowing in edgy but it is difficult to notice the field of independent film for several years, “Leaving Las Vegas” director Mike Figgis returns to the mainstream. This is indeed a surprise. Weak scripts can be overcome, but Figgis leadership surprisingly lacklustre, never caused any real life of its scenes and trying to be edgy with the odd burst of creepy grainy video in dark rain soaked night, and suddenly, and very silly snake attack scene. In choppy script, coupled with how the cards are revealed by the end of the first act leaves most of the last hour of “Manor House” wandering around a little. Quaid bestseller some nude photos, Dorff shows exiting tinted hairy pecs, the children get upset, the sheriff does nothing, Juliette Lewis makes bitchy trailer ordinary garbage and Sharon Stone looks flustered. In anticipation of the movie without some suspense that it is interesting that this time.
