As Patriot Games and the hunt for the “Red October before him, and the clear threat of modernity takes liberty with its source material. Clear and Present is a threat to all the plot and characters are not. People are running around on the screen so much depth, as sweat sheen on Harrison Ford in the forehead. I spent half the movie surprised if this guy was ever going to show anything to mark him as a man vaguely.

Some of the technical elements of Clear and Present threat are fascinating (mostly because the movie actually gets a lot of the material right), and there are some well-executed action scenes (even if Harrison Ford becomes a bit old to be involved in many fist fights). There is a time when film production in the flare of a decent funeral are intercut with those of the very unconventional - and bloody - one.

As can be seen from Clear and Present threat here as singer can do with superficial written role. In parts of minimal value and reduced visibility, Anne Archer and James Earl Jones greatly underutilized. Harrison Ford, people with higher bills, is a steady (as usual), but unexceptional. There will be no “best acting” nominations from the film.

Clear and Present threat boasts excellent sound - too bad pedestrian visuals are not of equal quality. At a time when good special effects are standard, the viewer can expect a larger picture of this magnitude than cheesy promising smart missiles.

At least, there is more than evident than here in the “Pelican Brief, simply John Grisham thriller, which is less effective with a high measure of Washington corruption. Nevertheless, whether or because, in spite of the clear and Present threat involvement in the plot, too many corners are cut. uneven flow, as this could lead to a snoozing spectator, as one on the edge of his seat. Clear and Present threat is pleasant but shallow exercise in order not to leave me hungering of Paramount Pictures ” next Clancy adaptation.
