Charlie’s Angels - Full Throttle

Yes, it is more of the same - and this is indeed a problem. First Charlie ’s Angels movie was so delicious, self-consciously cheesy that it is virtually impossible to dislike. There was a freshness and sassiness for the production - a sense that the filmmakers were thumbing their noses at serious action movies, juicing activities on the recognition silly premise o’70 s girl-power TV show. It worked once, but the novelty factor is gone. In the cheese was still there, but this time he oblozhil with cynical sense that the only reason there in the film because the first made so much money.

The subtitle, Full Throttle, in the same direction of the film declares. It is designed to appeal to audiences with ADD - those who constantly need something new and loudly every few seconds to grab their attention. Returning director McG, whose name de film sounds like it belongs to the fast food restaurant menus, composes Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle the way it will be very long and very expensive music video. There are many cuts, a lot of music, a lot of A and T, and a lot of donkey-kicking. Ibid that passes for a plot, but, as in most music videos, the paper-thin.

Full Throttle is designed as a comedy-action - a parody of the James Bond genre. Once upon a time, that was a fun idea, but it has not been done to death throughout the seemingly endless rows of Austin Powers movie XXX. Even the latest official 007 paintings, Die Another Day, abandoned any pretense of seriousness and plunged into complete denial of self parody. So, forgive me if I do not overburdened with all the jabs Full Throttle takes on the superspy action movies. Been there, done that - again and again and again. Then there is a Matrix-style martial films, which are used ad nauseam here (even more than in the first Matrix movie or Charlie ’s Angels). A few years ago, he was “in the case of such a lampoon Acrobat slow-mo action, but now that it is tired approach. However Full Throttle keeps beating a dead horse until she likes than road kill.

So, what is the film about? A group of scary villains, including badass named Seamus O’Grady (Justin Theroux), went to get the secret decoder ring, which will give them the secret identity of all participants in the witness protection programme. After investigation of all available Cracker Jacks box, they understand that the ring is now in the possession of ex-Angel Madison Lee (Demi Moore) and her partner inconsequential, Ray Carter (Robert Patrick). It is ready to sell, and everything in the world gangsters seeking buy. Enter the current Angels: Natalie (Cameron Diaz), Dylan (Drew Barrymore) and Alex (Lucy Liu), along with the new Bosley (Bernie Mac). Without the customer, but with the support of Charlie (John Forsythe reiterated), which they are from Madison to stop and save the world.

Full Throttle can be unnecessarily lengthy and repetitive action sequences that are dull, precisely because they are so loud and predictable, but it has its share of small pleasures. First and foremost among them is Demi Moore, who exudes more sex appeal than Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and combined. One drawback is its limited screen time. Except for a brief interlude, it is not in the first 45 minutes. The only one more than Moore is not enough John Cleese, who has a small role of the father Alex. On the one reaction shot, the film generates Cleese biggest laugh.

A couple of parodies-to-total-in-a parody of work. There is insanely funny takeoff on the popular “CSI” is just one of the lead cameo William Petersen. Film credits include opening subversively funny riff on the opening of “Charlie’s Angels” TV series. Ibid few brief, discreet nudity (three naked angels withdrew only right angles so that nothing can be seen - call it the Austin Powers school obfuscation). I’70 s music will not stop - Full Throttle movie as an advertisement for Full Throttle soundtrack.

The film is chock full cameos - each of the Olsen twins to Bruce Willis in one of the original Angels gets a walk-on. After a while it becomes distracting - kind of like playing “spot on the celebrity.” Overall, the movie is a little irritating mix that much work and things that do not. After seeing the first in Charlie Angels movie, I came out of the theater feeling buoyed and almost giddy. After Full Throttle, I vaguely unhappy, and several irritated. If you can stand the repetition and lack of ingenuity and do not care about anything for the “eye candy” values, I believe this film has the ability to entertain. But, like most hollow, shallow entertainment of this kind, perhaps best seen (if it is to be seen) cheaper and later.
