The Butterfly Effect

It is likely that a number of reviews are collected in the Butterfly Effect describe as a “science fiction” film. Nothing could be further from the truth - little was happening during this film belongs to the field of science and technology, as well as the effect on the genre Butterfly Effect is lazy and unreasonable approach. While there is “Twilight Zone” feel at work, it is worth noting that many episodes of Rod Serling classic series gyrated along the line between fantasy and horror, and this is exactly where Na Butterfly Effect belongs.

This, as the saying goes, it is convincing and intriguing film that toys with the power of choice and opportunity in a way that is not excessive. Of course, there are plot holes (some of them very significant), but most of them do not become evident until long after the end credits rolled and the film is currently being analysed in the post-screening discussion. The end is to deceive, and Ashton Kutcher might not be the best choice for the lead role. Nevertheless, despite these shortcomings, I did not hesitate to recommend the film. In the film desert that is January, which means high.

In Butterfly Effect takes its name from the premises of chaos theory: a butterfly flapping its wings in North Africa typhoon may cause half of all light (see Jurassic Park for the same reasons). In this case, we are not faced with the problem of spatial causality, but also about how to re-organize the flow of time can lead to slip in an alternative reality. According to the KISS (keep it simple, stupid) Principal, The Butterfly Effect of been able to move forward without confusing or losing their audiences. This is not one of those films where at the moment neglect resulting in total bewilderment, though this is a good idea not to travel to snacks.

Evan Treborn (Kutcher), a 20 - year-old college student with a large package of emotional baggage than most young Americans. Since the age of seven, he is facing off time in moments of high emotional stress, such as family friend attacked him, or when he and some friends were involved in the prank-gone-bad. Evan learns that by concentrating on the words of the magazine he is a member, and growing, he can transport himself back in time and re-live some events. Sometimes it can make changes, sometimes he could not. When a childhood friend, Miller, Kayleigh (Amy Smart) commits suicide because Evan is doing something, he becomes obsessed with the revision of his life. And when he does, he learns that he might better not to interfere with the complex formulas cause-and-effect.

Co-directors Eric Bress and J. Mackye Gruber (who also co-wrote the script) are trendy film that not only entertains in its own right, but asking us to consider the consequences of our own actions. (This is their first outing behind the camera, they collaborated on the script for the final destination 2, an act for which I am prepared to forgive them.) Tam small sliding doors in this movie, although, unlike the previous movie, The Butterfly Effect is not a romantic comedy , and does not show us the parallel evolution of different universes. This film follows a single embodiment Evan, as he meddles in their own time flow by altering his future with grim at the grimmer, despite the fact that he remembers all of the permutations it has been through.

I want this alternative RealityFor Ashton Kutcher, it is obviously an attempt to shed his “Punk’d” / “’70s Show” image and prove that he can really act. However, while Kutcher is not to put ourselves to it. He lacks the gravitas necessary to pull the upper part of a full conviction, someone like Billy Crudup and Jared Leto (which, in turn, “Requiem for a Dream was remarkable) may be more convincing, as Evan. Nevertheless, Kutcher not so bad that he torpedoes the entire project. Po acting on the sidelines, he joined other up and coming (read hot) performers as Amy Smart, William Lee Scott (as Kayleigh’s brother), and Elden Henson (as Lenny , Evan other childhood friends). senior member of the Board filed an Eric Stoltz, which is to cast the film sleaziest character.

The end is weak, and could be the result of a movie written themselves into a corner and do not want to conclude things in a surge nihilistic excess. Nevertheless, despite the fact that this cheat, it retains a degree of resonance, primarily because it is not seeking to derail the dark tone. In many ways, The Butterfly effect is about regrets, and the closing sequence of this stress. The film is engrossing to minimize such concerns, however, the few who use non-traditional images and watch Butterfly Effect experience will be disappointed.
