The Bourne Supremacy

In Burn Supremacy thriller is the rule - no more, no less. This can cause disappointment to those anticipating something at the same level as 2002, the surprising hit movie, The Bourne Identity. Unfortunately, the movie, the second tranche of Robert Ludlum in the trilogy is behind its predecessor in almost all areas, except perhaps acting. There is nothing wrong with any of the performances in this film, it simply that the actors are not as important as they were two years ago. The actions moved to the fore, the implementation side of the site and nature of development in order to maintain the frantic pace that director Paul Greengrass considers it necessary to retain the attention of their audiences.

Happiness in the thriller - it never lasts In Burn rule opens two years after Bourne Identity In closed, with Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), have settled down with his girlfriend, Marie (Franka Potente, in the Run Lola Run fame). Now, as someone with the worst of intentions found them. It is not only a killer (Karl Urban), dispatched to remove Born, but he is a CIA agent for the murder in Berlin. Thus, the body back into the picture. In “Born to find” a group led by Pamela Landy (Joan Allen) and Bourne former boss, Ward Abbott (Brian Cox). Thinking that the CIA was behind the assassination attempt on his life, Bourne decides that the best response is to track down a few old acquaintances and permanently remove them from the picture, thereby fulfilling the promise he made at the end of Bourne Identity W.

At its heart, The Burn is the rule of revenge picture. There nothing more subtle or more profound happening here, although there is a secondary plot about a group of Russians. Character development nature. We learn a few more things about Bourne in the past, and he shows signs of conscience. However, he was more interesting in the last film, when he was to fail to know who it is. This time, Bourne is just a relentless killer, at least until the last 30 minutes when he displays more compassion than we expect (or, in some respects, prefer).

After the first 15 minutes of exposition, The Bourne supremacy unfolds in a series of long chase and fight sequences. Some are more attractive than others. The final target, in particular, with the participation. Further, as at the end of the film, as is the case, there is a feeling that this will lead to the solution (rather than the usual “Unfortunately, I lost it”). There are many cases in hand-to-hand combat, and that there is a choice Greengrass ( “Bloody Sunday”), it becomes questionable. In Bourne Identity director, Doug Liman, was able to present the fight scenes in a clear, no-frills fashion. In Burn rule, there are so many cuts and changes that will transmit fighting inconsistency disorder. It is better not to try to follow them when they are in - just wait until they understand better who is constantly on the left.

Usually tough spots on several levels, The Burn does not meet the priority, as Bourne Identity. The culmination of Bourne in revenge spree against the institution, while it solves problems, does not give a good sense of closure. And the fact that the Burn spends much of the film on his own eliminates pleasure to give and take between Borno and Marie, who helped make Bourne Identity For better than a general espionage flick. Not having read Ludlum novel, I can not assess whether the problem is in the source material or Tony Gilroy adapt, but at least smart Burn rule than its predecessor.

In the title role, Damon again proves that he has the makeup for decent action hero. On more on the mould of Mel Gibson or Harrison Ford than Arnold Schwarzenegger, but there is room in the genre for all kinds of actors. Brian Cox is appropriately oily as bad CIA guy, whose role has been expanded from the first film. Joan Allen brush on his ice queen image to give the Burn a more formidable than the opponent agency Abbott. There is also a brief statement with familiar faces Staylz Potente and Julia, as well as a small but important part of Oksana Akinshina (Star Lilya 4 - S) in the Russian girl.

While Burn In disappoints priority compared with the expectations established in Bourne Identity, neither unwatchable nor uninteresting. Continuity is strong (basically everything except the same director), as well as the lead character, and not as convincing this time, still worth rooting for. Plus, there are enough measures to disguise the subtleties in the plot. Nevertheless, it still continued to face prevention that could not live up to standards set by his predecessor.
