Barnyard

The last and the very least, this summer in the animated film, Barnyard is a slapdash assembly obvious gags, and one line, held jointly with the flimsiest of narratives. Although there are a few-very few moments of cleverness sprinkled throughout writer / director Steve Oedekerk in the script of “party animals” living while his farmer away, Barnyard is south of couples flick scarce threadbare charm and humor. The small fry can get a kick from some cartoon slapstick, but also for those who are over the age of ten, watching Nickelodeon Films production that is about as attractive as intensify in pairs cow pie.

Expressing his second film this summer (another Monster House), takes the role of Kevin James Otis, a young bull with udders (?) Who better to play practical jokes and goof leave with his buddies than obey his father, Ben (Sam Elliott, the “Beef : it is that over dinner “, the press is ironic, no?). For many years, the guitar-strumming Ben successfully protects animals from a pack of snarling coyotes in the surrounding hills, but his perseverance is waning. Unfortunately, Otis was far from ready to take over from his father, he was too busy throwing “barnyard” raves and flirt with a fairly new cow, Daisy (Courtney Cox). That all changes, however, after the raid coyotes chicken house. Thrust into the role of protector of the farm, Otis surprises all-including himself-rising to the challenge.

Despite vocal contributions such as reliable comic talents like James and Wanda Sykes, Barnyard more desperate than funny. There, barely enough story to sustain short film, much less a feature, so the narrative Oedekerk pads and pumps to build volume. However, its efforts have largely for the vain. Predictable and poorly pace, Barnyard should ultimately be declared the pasture.
