Bad Boys II
The only thing as bad as bad comedy bad actions. Bad Boys II lot at the same time. In fact, these two things are all that is, except for a small relief bad drama. When it comes to this film, the word “bad” initially appears very appropriate. No Bad Boys II is not just bad - it is a catastrophic breach of all aspects of film that I cherish as a film critic. There seems to have been built with terms such as “unwatchable” and “godawful” as its slogans. There is a picture of failures each year - Hollywood players will resume littered with them. But once it is a great - a future blockbuster with recognizable names in the cast and crew - the collapse of such a spectacular way, it’s worth taking note. Think of how many hungry children could be fed with the money that was poured into Michael Bay in the last sinkhole.
The average summer action movie aspires to be nothing more than a “lobotomy flick” - a picture of the pleasure only those who turn off their minds thinking centres while in theater. The original Bad Boys was a movie - excursion to the fireworks buddy movie mediocrity. Would that such a high compliment can be paid to his successor. Watching Bad Boys II is a very unpalatable prospect. This is not only a very long time (the result of titanic self-indulgence and failure director of the Gulf cut anything), but each scene is worse than before, to make the viewing experience akin to a plunge in the lowest depths of hell. Anyone who really enjoy this film may wish to consider professional help - if they had not done for him.
The paper-thin storyline involves Miami PD partners Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence), as they try to lift the Cuban drug bowling Johnny Tapia (Jordi Molla), in the rare cases when they are not too busy bitching at each other . Johnny, with the help of a Russian mobster (Peter Stormare), is the flooding on the West Coast with Ecstasy. Along the way, the two “bad boys” faced its share of troubles, including car chases, shootouts and explosions. Mike is trying to hide its relationship with the DEA officer flowering Sydney Burnett (Gabrielle Union), Marcus’ sister, his partner. Marcus I said Mike avoids that he wants delivery.
The action sequences worse than usual - they are boring. They all follow the same pattern: bombings, shootings, someone rolling on the ground in slow motion, the camera in a circle of action, two or three times, the rapid-fire cuts so quickly that you do not know what the hell is happening over explosions, more rapid reduction, slower movements, and so forth - until you want to scream out “MAKE IT STOP!” As the projectionist will be sleeping at that time, such a merciful blessing is unlikely to take place. Once in a while, Gulf will vary things were thrown into shaky shot in the pocket of one of slow motion shots, and the next. Or he will have a full character incredibly inane line of dialogue. If I did not know better, I would be tempted to think that the gulf is trying to parody a big budget action films, but Bad Boys II does not give the right to leave the vibes at satire.
Not that she intended to be taken very seriously. There are many stabs at comedy - although none of them hit the funny bone. This suggests that any issue, no matter how taboo, can be the subject of humor. Monty Python proved that. The key is that the material has to be funny. If it misses the mark, you are ultimately with Freddy Got Fingered or Dumb and Dumberer. And this is very similar to the territory in which Bad Boys II treads when it is trying to make the audience laugh. In limited to a few inspired jokes categories: racial slurs, cadaver injury, homophobic gags, rodents and mating.
There is a charisma, where inconsistency two key players are concerned. Despite the let-down in the direction and screenplay, Will Smith, however, can be reached cetain level of charm, and, given the fact that this is a wonderful achievement. Martin Lawrence, on the other hand, seems to be in the grip of despair. Although a hilarious stand-up comedian, Lawrence yet to be translated his outrageous personality on-screen character. In fact, it is striking unfunny as it is. Gabrielle Union on hand to present some T and A, and Jordi Molla froths at the mouth enough that we know it bad guy.
Bad Boys II is a new low for the director Bay, which, at least at this stage could expect to make a semi-competent popcorn movie (although it is a serious attempt, Pearl Harbor is ridiculous, lumbering failure) . This film, however, need more than salt and butter to make it acceptable. Bad Boys II is another reason to avoid multiplexers and this summer, and another argument against the serialization of films, which do not have the capacity to vote. The exhibits for the prosecution… 2 Fast 2 Furious, Dumb and Dumberer, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Legally blond 2, Bad Boys II. Sometimes this damn depressing to be a movie critic.
