Airplane

Unlike most so-called comedies released today Airplane! really ridiculous. And get this, but do not rely on poo-poo jokes or humor cause extreme types of laughter.

Alleged parody of all those who Airport iz’70 s movies, Airplane! close with flicks and spoofing various genres (from the blacksploitation films for viewing). The main plot concerns a former pilot (Robert Hays), which experiences in the war gave him irrational fear of flight. Although he just broken up with the stewardesses (Julie Hagerty), he follows her to the airport, hoping to reconcile and close the purchase of tickets for his next flight. Wackiness and hijinks, once on board, after the virus infects a majority of the passengers and crew.

The key to the success of Airplane! is the rapid-fire succession of jokes. If you do not find a particular gag funny, still waiting in the wings to replace it. There are even sequences with a few bits of comedy happening at the same time. And unlike some of the more recent parody films, such as Dracula: Dead and Loving It, or Spy Hard (both of which starred Leslie Nielson, go figure), most of the jokes in Airplane! really ridiculous. If you want the physical comedy, you get care. If you prefer a sense of humor is more subtle in the direction you are too good. The heads Airplane! — Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, Jerry Zucker - the same guys responsible for the short but amusing show Police Squad and its spin-off, The Naked Gun series. Clearly, these funny dudes.

From the opening few minutes, with the bizarre argument between the White Zone voice and the voice of the Red Zone, set the tone for the silliness. The storyline - with Hays forced to overcome his fear to save every person aboard the aircraft - it’s just clothesline used to hang different jokes and set pieces (bad metaphor, I know, but it gets the point across). There are so many jokes here, and most of them work. Indeed, how can you go wrong with a movie that features Leave it to Beaver, Barbara Billingsley as a jive-said passenger? You can not.
